Resendiz Brothers 2024 Calendar

For the last twenty-four years I’ve designed and created our annual Resendiz Brothers calendar, which we proudly share with all our friends and family. The time spent crafting the calendar has become very special as it gives me the opportunity to reflect on the past twelve months while rummaging through fabulous photos to select my thirteen favorites. The cover is typically a photograph that has received quite a bit of attention during the last year or reminds me of a particular season, and this year's choice - was no exception. The remaining twelve photographs are thoughtfully placed in the calendar to represent the months when the proteas pictured are typically in bloom. Scroll on down and have a sneak peek at this year’s picks.

Waratah Bouquet

Flowers are the special things that can change just about everything. From bouquets of fresh-cut garden flowers to extravagant arrangements, each inspires a burst of joy and a lot of wonderment. With spring’s abundance of blooms and foliage, I ventured into the fields to see what treasures I could find to create something simply elegant.

During this trip into the fields I realized the phrase ‘Better Late than Never’ certainly applied. As I came across two of my favorite spring flowers that typically bloom in March… Waratah and Boronia, I knew I was on the right track. I reminded myself that the name Waratah is an Aboriginal name for “beautiful” and the botanical name Telopea means “seen from a distance’.  There was no doubt that I'd miss any of these Waratah, even if they're late bloomers. The Boronia also couldn’t be avoided as that wonderful lemony fragrance drew me right to the petite, bell-like flowers with delicate deep green leaves.

I found my treasures and knew I could create something fabulous.

As I gathered stems of leucadendron, banksia foliage and berzelia to complete by bouquet, I felt inspired!

Resendiz Brother’s 2018 Calendar

For the last seventeen years we have designed and created our own special Resendiz Brothers calendar, which we proudly share with all our friends and family. The time spent crafting the calendar has also become very special to us as it gives us the opportunity to reflect on the years past, to rummage through fabulous photos and select our thirteen favorites. The cover is usually a photograph that received quite a bit of attention during the year, and this year's choice - was no exception. The remaining twelve pictures are selected based on the holiday or month the various protea are typically in bloom. Scroll on down and have a look at our 2018 picks… they are a combination of arrangements, bouquets, field shots and wreaths!

Resendiz Brother’s 2017 Calendar

For the last sixteen years we have designed and created a special Resendiz Brothers calendar, which we proudly share with all our family and friends. The time spent crafting the calendar has also become very special to us as it gives us the opportunity to reflect on the past year, to rummage through twelve months of fabulous photos and select our top thirteen favorites. The cover is usually a photograph that received quite a bit of attention during the year, and this year's choice - was no exception (it even made the home page of our new website). The remaining twelve pictures are selected based on the month or holiday which they represent and hopefully, with Mother Nature's cooperation the flowers be in bloom and ready for harvesting around the same time. So, here’s the 2017 images – which include a special combination of arrangements, bouquets, field shots, wreaths and truck loads of flowers!
