Event: Fall Wreath Workshop

With just a day left in the countdown to the autumn equinox, we (including several of our furry farm friends) were feeling especially festive here on the farm. The timing was perfect as we held our annual fall wreath making workshop on a warm sunny Saturday afternoon. To start, guests toured the packinghouse, greenhouse and nursery, and some even gathered tidbits of flowers and greens to include in their own special creation. Our talented crew eagerly demonstrated the art of wreath making – so all who watched would be prepared to craft something of their own. The office was stocked with all the necessary fall accessories…. pumpkins, Indian corn, mums and of course, proteas along with some savory treats to eat and drink. This year, festival-goers who made the pilgrimage to Indio came equipped with festival staples—crop tops, mesh, denim, flowers and a bohemian attitude—demonstrating why Coachella has a reputation as the ancestral homeland of the festival look. There’s no doubt Mud’s floral crowns were an opportune ‘new’ fashion accessory at the festival!

Summer Nights in the Garden

Created for a recent Summer Nights in the Garden event, the gorgeous flower crown above filled with protea, kangaroo paws and bottle brush was just one of many flaunted by guests at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Flowers on Your Head, a sold out hands-on garden workshop, created a fun photo opt that enchanted guests throughout the evening. We caught up with our friend, Mud Baron, to learn more about these trendy floral accessories, which are easy to design and provide a great way for men, women and children alike to show off their personal style.
