Flowers for the Heart

This weekend's first Annual Travis Fund Polo Match at the Temecula Valley Polo Club included a mix of fast-paced polo action, fundraising, food, flowers and fun for everyone who attended! All proceeds from the ticket sales and raffles went directly to The Travis Fund's efforts to place Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) in schools and public facilities. The Travis Fund foundation is very near and dear to our Hearts so we were eager to volunteer and to donate flowers for the players and plants for the raffle.

The Travis Fund is dedicated to raising awareness about Sudden Cardiac Arrest so others may survive!

In attendance were five of the Travis Fund's seven Board members as well as a very special nurse, Sandi Pollet.

The crowd gathers as the match begins.

Polo, sometimes called "The Sport of Kings", is played on a large grass field and each polo team consists of four riders and their mounts. Polo is the oldest team sport in world history dating back to 650 A.D.

A little Food and Spirits to add to the ambiance!

Protea Bouquets were presented to all the players as a 'Heart-Felt' thank you for their efforts during the match and for supporting this important cause.

After the match, there was time for a little "Sidewalk CPR" lesson.

Many thanks go out to the Temecula Valley Polo Club for hosting this special event!  For more information on The Travis Fund, go to: www.TheTravisFund.org
