Promoting Protea
Last week we had the pleasure to do a 'Protea Presentation' for our local Temecula Valley
Garden Club. It was all about Protea - how to grow them, what varieties grow
best here in Southern California, how we market them and how they're arranged in
bouquets and wreaths.
The Temecula Valley Garden Club is a nonprofit organization with 160 members, that aims to encourage interest in home gardening, promote better horticultural practices, conserve natural resources and aid civic groups. It also provides a wonderful place for those who share a common interest in gardening, to become acquainted and develop meaningful friendships. This club gives an annual $1,000 scholarship to a student majoring in plant science at UC Riverside and helps create gardens in local schools.

What a great opportunity - we shared a few gardening tips!
Had some
protea plants for their gardens.
Colorful
bouquets for their homes.
And
in the end, we had a winner for our amazing Easter Basket raffle!

Springtime - Our Season of Abundance
The first days of spring are a gift to the spirit. When the leucadendron explode
into a bouquet of colorful blooms, butterflies inhale the sweet scent of
waxflower and hummingbirds sip on the grevillea’s rich nectar.
Springtime is a special time of the year, unlike any other season here on the farm. Abundance is often associated with fall and harvest season, but for us spring is our season of 'abundance'. Our selection of pincushions, protea, leucadendron, grevillea and filler flowers is so amazing that we often feel like 'kids in a candy store'!
So, over the next few months it is our goal to bring a little more of our spring, our 'candy' into your life!

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Feeling Lucky?
What do you get when you cross a 4-leaf clover
with poison ivy?
A RASH OF GOOD LUCK!
You don't have to be Irish to enjoy St. Patrick's Day, but if you
are tired of whiskey and green beer, why not enjoy something Green and
Gorgeous!
And, of course an old Irish Blessing too:
May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
